In search of vegan skincare? You've come to the right spot!

When looking at skincare ingredients, it’s important to investigate whether an ingredient is truly vegan or is it derived from an animal byproduct.
Here at veologē, we live by the practice of ahmisa. In Sanskrit, ahmisa refers to the ethical principle of respecting all living species and the avoidance of violence toward others. We believe in this practice wholeheartedly, which is why our formulations are 100% cruelly-free, ethically harvested, and sustainably sourced.
Below are our vegan alternatives:
ASTAXANTHIN
You have likely seen astaxanthin in your daily life before; it's what gives shrimp and salmon their red-orange color. Our astaxanthin is sourced from an algae called haematococcus pluvialis, which is cruelty-free and thought to be the very best source of astaxanthin available. Even outperforming other antioxidants including vitamins C and E. Discover this powerful antioxidant in our Refining Glycolic Serum.
BOTANICAL HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic acid skincare products have become more and more popular. It is important to understand that not all hyaluronic acid products are created equal and many contain ingredients derived from animals, specifically collagen produced by roosters.
Luckily, botanical hyaluronic acid products, like the ones we use here at veologē, are just as effective in delivering the huge hydration boosts the skin needs. Our hyaluronic acid products contain ultra-low-molecular-weight and are derived from a vegan fermentation process rather than the common rooster comb or other animal sources. The bacteria used for the fermentation is non-GMO and non-hemolytic. Fermentation takes place in a plant-based growth medium without any animal products or byproducts. Several of our formulations contain botanical hyaluronic acid such as Refining Glycolic Serum, Q10 Cream, Youth Serum, Oxygen Berry Mask, and Tripeptide Eye Gel.
STEARIC ACID
Stearic acid is a fatty acid typically produced by hydrolysis of common animal and vegetable fats and oils. We sustainably source our stearic acid from palm oil. Our palm oil is certified sustainable through the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. We invite you to visit www.rspo.org to learn more.
